Welcome to Gary's Imaginarium, From Dreams to Reality.

For those unfamiliar with 3D Printer machines, here's a glimpse of one in action. We first design an image in a computer graphics program, then convert that design into commands for the machine, guiding it to precisely create the object.

Double Knob Instrument Hole Cover
I recently did an install on an airplane and had to find an instrument hole cover for an old instrument that had 2 control knobs. I simply could not find a commercially supplied cover for this type of instrument hole, so I took the time to design and print a few.

3D printed cover. Fitted into instrument cutout. Wrinkle finished the cover and used it to install a Flightcom intercom.

2 1/4" one with a single knob and a rare "no knob" cover plate. 3 1/8" cover wrinkle finished and ready to install.

Wedge Mount for iPad / Garmin 696/796 etc.

The best place to install a navigation tablet is to your left on the side panel below the windshield as shown below. The gimballed accessories that come with the tablets are too large to allow it to fit snuggley.
This setup consists of an aircraft aluminum plate fastened to the side panel. Then there are 4 washers and a wedge set at 25°. The 4 washers fit between your tablet' mounting plate which is removed from the gimballed set, and then the large wedge fits in the back. The large wedge is used to allow the screws that hold everything together to be at 90° to the washers, and provide a firm surface for the mounting plate to prevent wobble in flight.

You can put the large wedge next to the tablets mounting plate, but usually the surface isn't flat enough.

Garmin 796 Mounted in a 1951 Cessna 170A. Solid Wedge and Washers hot off the 3D Printer. Glazed ready for paint, or leave as is.

Surface Mounted Mic & Phone Jack Housings
These housings serve as outlets for rear passengers to plug in their headsets. Personally, I've found the price of $18.65 each to be a bit steep. However, I offer the flexibility to print these mounts in any angle or size required. In fact, I once created an extra-high version for a customer, ensuring that the headphone wires cleared the aircraft frame.

Shown with mic and phone jacks installed. We can also make blanks for under the insrument panel mounted Mic and Phone Jacks.

Radio Rack Cover Plates.
Once you've upgraded your outdated radios with sleeker, newer technology, you often find yourself facing an empty space on the instrument panel. We offer custom-made cover panels tailored to any dimensions you need. Additionally, I utilized these blank panels to install the ELT control head and the intercom. They can simply be installed using velcro for easy removal for access to the rear of the instrument panel.
