Chair and Step Stool feet
Never dreamed this would happen but the most popular product we've had a demand for so far is providing custom made replacement chair and step stool feet.

First we start out drawing the object in a graphic program called SketchUp. |
Then we save it as an STL file and open it with a program called Simplify 3D.
This program slices the drawing and creates a file called GCode which contains the command movements for the 3D printer. |
Here are the results of the slicing. This is exactly how it will be printed. |
Here is an example of the GCode. |
They are all printed with ABS plastic for hardness and durability. The plastic comes in a variety of colors but I prefer to print them in either white or black, the most popular colors, and then paint them should you require a special color.
They can also be smoothed via a treatment of Acetone before painting to give you a smooth gloss finish.
As you can see there are a lot of variables so it's hard to give an exact quote as to how much they may cost to print.
As an example the lowest cost for a simple one like the patio chair foot shown above was $2.50 each including setup.
