Chair and Step Stool feet
Never dreamed this would happen but the most popular product we've had a demand for so far is providing custom made replacement chair and step stool feet.

This is the prototype for a complicated foot for a up-scale chrome livingroom chair. Here is a picture of 4 feet completed hot off the print bed. Patio chair foot. Large step stool foot in place. Extra tall to allow for lots of wear and tear.

How they are made:

First we start out drawing the object in a graphic program called SketchUp. Then we save it as an STL file and open it with a program called Simplify 3D.
This program slices the drawing and creates a file called GCode which contains the command movements for the 3D printer.
Here are the results of the slicing. This is exactly how it will be printed. Here is an example of the GCode.

They are all printed with ABS plastic for hardness and durability. The plastic comes in a variety of colors but I prefer to print them in either white or black, the most popular colors, and then paint them should you require a special color.

They can also be smoothed via a treatment of Acetone before painting to give you a smooth gloss finish.

As you can see there are a lot of variables so it's hard to give an exact quote as to how much they may cost to print. As an example the lowest cost for a simple one like the patio chair foot shown above was $2.50 each including setup.
